A client project for the Government Nanhi Pari Seemant Engineering Institute (NPSEI) — a government engineering institute and constituent college of Uttarakhand Technical University. We built its complete digital campus: a fast public website backed by an admin panel that lets the institute's own staff keep everything current, with no developer in the loop.
The Brief
Government engineering institutes have to publish — and keep current — a large amount of public information: AICTE mandatory disclosures, RTI details, fee structures, admission notices, departmental information, and a constant stream of announcements. Most run on aging static sites that only an outside agency can edit, so content goes stale and compliance pages fall behind.
NPSEI needed the opposite: a modern, fast, mobile-friendly site that presents the institute professionally and a simple admin panel so staff can post notices, update faculty, manage syllabus and fees, and upload documents themselves.

The Admin Panel
Behind the site sits a secure, single-admin CMS. Staff log in (JWT held in an HTTP-only cookie) and manage notices, departments, faculty, syllabus, and fee structures through clean forms, including document and image uploads. Old files are cleaned up automatically on edit or delete. The institute owns its content — updates are instant and don't need us.
The Stack
A full MERN build: a React 19 + Vite + Tailwind frontend, an Express + Mongoose REST API, and MongoDB for data, with JWT authentication and Multer-based file uploads. Deployed on a VPS with Nginx serving the static frontend and proxying the API, PM2 keeping the backend alive, and a self-hosted MongoDB — fully owned by the institute, with no per-seat SaaS fees.
The Outcome
NPSEI now has a professional, fast, compliance-ready digital campus that its own staff keep up to date — notices go out in minutes, statutory pages stay current, and prospective students get a clear, modern first impression of the institute.
